Murali began his career at Electronics Corporation of India Limited. He later worked with Tata Consultancy Services, Metamor Global Solutions in Hyderabad, and Vistaar eBusinesses Private Limited in Mumbai. Over time, he rose from a small role to become a vice president in a software development organization. In 2001, he founded Chemuturi Consultants, focusing on software development and management practices.
