Challenging Start During the Syrian Conflict-Esraa Hasan
At 19, when I was a student, I pro-acted and took the initiatives to manage my university bookstore even when bombs were falling. At that time, the supply chain was entirely broken, yet students needed books to learn. So, I formed a team of Top ranked students and we came up with ways to create study materials. We didn’t just survive but also helped our university to maintain its top rankings. And that’s what taught me real leadership rules. Even without resources, under fear, but still focused on our goals. It also helps to build my mindset that we can find solutions even in chaos.
Engineering Excellence
From my perspective, engineering is all about solving a problem in logical steps. It taught me to think in systems, not just tasks. And that mindset helps me a lot in business. For instance, when I lead IT or finance projects, I just have to look at one piece, connecting the invisible dots and discover the patterns, then I know how to connect the whole puzzle. My engineering background also develops a thinking to be calm and logical even in crisis. So, when I’m managing real estate finance in Turkey while working on Business with global Projects, it helps me a lot. It’s not just about math, but it’s about organized and long-term planning, but most importantly, setting the priorities in mind and setting a simple system instead of jumping from one task to another.
Inspiration Behind IT and Finance Under Business Context-Esraa Hasan
Finance and IT are not uncorrelated things to me. In real business, they affect each other every day. I have seen many tech solutions fail as they didn’t match what the CFO or business leaders needed and Strategies. That’s why I align finance and IT around real goals, not just fancy systems. However, during my training as a compliance professional at UPenn and HAVI (a 10,000+ employee global company), it provided me with a clear direction to save time, reduce costs, and work more efficiently and mitigating risks on many levels. I also believe that tech should serve business strategy, and that’s the value I can bring to companies, But I also believe in setting a smart and sustainable strategy first for businesses, because there is no IT tool that can fix a broken business from DNA. So, I bridge three critical worlds: I speak business strategy with executives, numbers and compliance with finance teams, and technical solutions with IT teams. This unique intersection is where I drive alignment and deliver results.
Role at LINKE solutIT- Esraa Hasan
At LINKE solutIT, I support German companies to solve business problems using technology. My focus is Business Processes. I listen to the company’s challenges, analyze their Business Processes and design tech solutions that help them to improve performance while reducing cost, complexity and risk. For example, if a company struggles with slow reporting and higher audit risks. Then, I’ll help them to leverage IT in a strategic way to fix it. Moreover, my strong background in compliance and finance allows me to see both risks and opportunities. So, I can help in building a system not suitable for today, but that can also last for the future.
Leadership Lessons by Esraa Hasan
Three big leadership lessons always help me. The first one is to listen, understand and analyze before acting. Many leaders fail as they jump to solutions without understanding Business, Strategies and people. Secondly, be proactive. I don’t wait for things to break; I already plan, set my high priorities to be ready for the future steps. Thirdly, constraints are not problems; they are the opportunities to prove your skills and learn more. I learned this in Syria when there were no resources available, and still, we made things workable. These lessons also help me in business. While I’m managing a team or advising a boardroom, I use these principles to make informed decisions. Leadership isn’t always about power, but it’s about clarity and impact.
Vision for the future – Esraa Hasan
My long-term mission is to establish a well-set 360 degree consulting style which helps in addressing Business Mind, and Business body as I call it “Visionary treatment plan”. My goal is also to grow my advisory role and level up with more managerial titles in international companies to expand my international Business scope, and help companies to think more strategically. I also believe that diversified knowledge of innovation, IT, Finance and Business strategy makes companies stronger. And that’s the kind of future I want to build for future companies: strong, smart, and ready for change, but more important, ready to lead.
